Connecting your marketplaces

Every connection lives on Settings → Connections inside OmniStock. You save a few fields, then either press Test connection or authorise through the marketplace itself. Test connection makes a real read-only call with your saved credentials, so a green result means that marketplace answered — not that the fields merely looked valid.

Where to start

Start with Amazon if you sell there: it is the only connection where somebody else has to review your application, and that can take a few business days. Everything else you can finish in an afternoon.

Veeqo

Fulfilment, products and stock · About 5 minutes

What you need

  • Your Veeqo API key (one field)
  1. Open Veeqo's API settings — In Veeqo, go to Settings → Users & Permissions, or Account → API access.
  2. Create or copy an API key — Use a user who can see inventory and orders. The key is free on every Veeqo plan.
  3. Paste it into OmniStock — Settings → Connections → Veeqo, then press Test connection. There is no OAuth step.

Know before you start

  • Editing stock needs Veeqo's paid Inventory plan. On the free plan the app reads your stock correctly, and an edit attempt tells you the plan is the reason instead of failing quietly.
  • Buying labels needs Purchase Label and the Rate Shopping API enabled on your Veeqo account. Without them, label buying is switched off with a message rather than erroring.
  • Veeqo has no webhooks, so everything is polled inside Veeqo's own rate limit. Expect changes to appear within about ten minutes rather than instantly.

Amazon

Selling Partner API · A few business days — start this first

What you need

  • LWA client ID
  • LWA client secret
  • Refresh token
  • Marketplace ID
  1. Register as a developer — In Seller Central, go to Apps & Services → Develop Apps and complete the developer profile.
  2. Create a private app — Request the Selling Partner API roles for orders, finances and reports. Amazon reviews this application — it is the step that takes days.
  3. Generate your keys — Once approved, Amazon gives you an LWA client ID and secret. Authorise the app against your own seller account to get a refresh token.
  4. Paste all four fields — Settings → Connections → Amazon, then Test connection.

Know before you start

  • Ask only for the roles you need. Restricted roles that expose customer names and addresses require extra review, and OmniStock deliberately never reads buyer details from Amazon — it takes them from your fulfilment provider instead.
  • Returns need the Inventory and Order Tracking and Amazon Fulfillment roles. Until they are granted, the returns page says the role is missing rather than showing an empty list.
  • FBA and merchant-fulfilled orders are reported as separate channels, so an FBA line showing no shipping cost is correct — Amazon ships those.

Shopify

Your own storefront · About 10 minutes

What you need

  • Your shop domain
  • Then authorise in Shopify
  1. Enter your shop domain — Settings → Connections → Shopify. Use the myshopify.com address, not your custom domain.
  2. Press Authorize with Shopify — You are sent to Shopify to approve the connection, then returned to OmniStock. No keys to copy by hand.
  3. Confirm the scopes — Shopify lists exactly what OmniStock is asking to read before you approve.

Know before you start

  • Returns need the read_returns scope. If it was not granted, the returns page says the scope is missing instead of showing nothing.
  • Shopify Payments fees come through with each order. Fees from other payment gateways are not exposed by Shopify's API, so the profit report shows that gap rather than estimating it.
  • If Shopify is your product catalogue, products stay read-only inside OmniStock — you edit them in Shopify, where you already work.

eBay

Marketplace · About 15 minutes, plus a growth check

What you need

  • App ID (client ID)
  • Cert ID (client secret)
  • RuName
  • Then authorise
  1. Create an eBay developer account — At developer.ebay.com, create a production keyset. You get an App ID and Cert ID.
  2. Add a redirect (RuName) — In your keyset, add the redirect URL OmniStock shows you on the Connections page. eBay calls this a RuName.
  3. Paste the three fields, then authorise — Press Authorize with eBay and approve the connection in eBay's own screen.

Know before you start

  • Order and return data works immediately. The Finances API — the one that reports what eBay actually paid you — is restricted, and eBay runs a manual growth check before granting it. Apply early.
  • Until Finances is granted, eBay revenue is read from orders rather than payouts, so it will not reconcile to the penny against your bank.

Walmart

Marketplace · About 5 minutes

What you need

  • Client ID
  • Client secret
  1. Open Walmart Developer Portal — In Seller Center, go to Settings → API Keys and create a production key.
  2. Copy both values — Walmart shows a client ID and client secret. The secret is shown once — store it before leaving the page.
  3. Paste and test — Settings → Connections → Walmart, then Test connection.

Know before you start

  • Walmart numbers the same order two different ways — one for shipping, one for settlement. OmniStock reconciles the two for you; you may see a shipping cost attach a little after the order arrives.
  • Walmart settles weekly, so a very recent week can look less profitable until its settlement lands.

FedEx

Your own carrier account · About 15 minutes

What you need

  • API key
  • Secret key
  • Account number
  1. Create a FedEx developer project — At developer.fedex.com, create a project and add the Rate and Ship APIs to it.
  2. Move it to production — A sandbox key rates but cannot buy a real label. Production keys need your FedEx account number attached.
  3. Paste all three fields — Settings → Connections → FedEx, then Test connection.

Know before you start

  • FedEx quotes are estimates, not binding. OmniStock compares the price you were quoted against what the shipment actually cost and records any difference, rather than quietly showing you the wrong figure.
  • If a label purchase times out, FedEx offers no way to ask whether it went through. OmniStock parks it and asks you to confirm in the FedEx portal before retrying — it will never quietly buy a second label for the same parcel.

If a connection stops working

Every connection is polled on its own schedule, and a system-health page inside the product shows when each one last succeeded. A marketplace that starts refusing — an expired token, a scope you have not granted yet — is named there with the reason, rather than quietly leaving yesterday's numbers on screen looking like today's.
